Ministries

 

DEACONS:
Church deacons are to care for the people, other Christians and especially for other members of the congregation, to head off disunity in the church, to build up one another and encourage one another for the common good and support of the ministry of the word, along with assisting the Pastor.

MUSIC DEPARTMENT (GOSPEL CHOIR, YOUTH CHOIR, MALE CHORUS AND COMBINE CHOIR):  The music ministries are to share the gospel of Jesus Christ through song, encourage believers in their walk with Christ, lead the congregation in worship to enhance the atmosphere for the Pastor’s ability to preach the word.

USHER DEPARTMENT (WOMEN USHERS, MALE USHERS AND YOUTH USHERS):  Ushers welcome members, assist guests with seating, assist in the needs of the members, with a pleasant attitude, in order to help maintain the church.

NURSES:  The nurses assist the Pastor in the prayer lines, laying hands when necessary, working with individuals that need extra attention and care. They care for people who become sick or injured during service, and assist those who may faint under the spirit of the Holy Ghost.

MATRONS:
These individuals care for and support the Pastor before, during, and after the worship service, providing water, juice, tea or towels when needed. They also make sure the Pastor has provisions for speaking engagements elsewhere.

YOUTH DEPARTMENT:
Youth are to be trained to become more stable in the ministry, learning self-respect and respect for others, so they may grow into strong young men and women.

BUILDING FUND DEPARTMENT:
Monitors the finances of the church, providing funds to areas as needed.

MISSIONARIES (WOMEN MISSIONARIES, JUNIOR MISSIONARIES AND ANGEL MISSIONARIES):
Missionaries are trained to witness to others in the world, that they may be saved and filled with the Holy Ghost, visit the sick and shut-in, and speak in nursing homes or prisions spreading the word of God, thereby teaching the younger missionaries how to become women missionaries.

MEN’S DEPARTMENT:   This department helps to maintain the church, assisting the Pastor with any duties necessary.

YOUNG BOYS GROUP:
The young boys are trained how to become men, by learning how to act and carry themselves, teaching them the word of God so they may be strong soldiers for the Lord.

WOMEN’S DEPARTMENT:
This department assists other women in need, providing food, prayer and clothing. They also pray for the Pastor and church as a whole.

MOTHER’S BOARD:
These women are to friendly and loving to everyone, being a model example for younger women.
